The 'Wee Sky Blues' recorded another fine win today at Spires Park. An excellent first half performance saw the Sky Blues go in at half time with a well deserved 2 - 0 lead. As ever Ciaran Moore and Shane Heavron caused the visiting defence all sorts of problems. The pacy Moore breached the Coleraine defence and rounded the keeper to open the scoring for the Sky Blues. He added his second with an excellent finish, lifting the ball cheekily over the Coleraine goal keeper after a defence splitting pass from Heavron.
The 'Wee Sky Blues' doubled their tally in the second half and with the introduction of three substitutes who were all making their Sky Blues debuts, extra strength in depth and competition for places has now been added to the young squad. Nathan McCullough capped an excellent performance with a great goal and will certainly be pushing for a starting place in the next match. Aedan Kerr finally scored his first goal of the season and hopefully the flood gates will now open.
Special praise must go to Fintan Kerr, Gary Doyle and Jason Ritchie who all had fine games today. Fintan Kerr pipped the other two for man of the match.
The only downside to the game came when Matthew Higgins was red carded. This just emphasises that players must concentrate and keep their discipline through out the whole game.
A very solid display from a very good side. Keep up the effort lads .
The mangement trio have assembled a very good squad which wont be far away at the end of the season !
