Sorry to the lads that were on the panel on Saturday and arent this week and anyone else not picked for this game. We can only take 15 players this week so we had to make some not so nice decisions . Everyone of you lads that attend training are a big part of the Sky Blues and hopefully we will have another team next year to get you all football so keep working and training hard.
We have 2 more home league games and we hope to get using more players in them but with over 30 players to pick from its not easy.

U13S LOST THIS MATCH 3---1

Bright Stars 3 - 1 Sky Blues

A good performance by the 13's in this match. Bright Stars got of to a lucky start with a bad bounce beating Stuart. Our inability to defend simple corners haunted us again giving a further 2 soft goals in the 1st half. We had a good few opportunities in the 1st half with Conan Mc Aleese in superb form pulling a great point blank save from the keeper with a bullet header. The 2nd half was a different game as the Blues poured forward and created countless goal chances but poor finishing was our downfall. You can pressure all day lads, have bad luck but we really should be killing teams off as our build up and wide play was exceptional. Put your foot through the ball lads. Ryan Mc Elwee scored a super header for us late in the 2nd half . All in all we were happy with all the hard work the team put into the match plus the conditions didnt do the game any favours but the teamwork again was a credit to the lads. We have left ourselves in the position of having to win all our matches now in order to win the league (lets really go for it now). Training is on on Tues night lads, be there for 6 20 to get a real good session in (shooting practice) as usual at the Convent.
